For whom is the book intended?
The book is ideal for intermediate English-language students at the B1-B2 level (CEFR).

Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk District was written in 1865 by Nikolay Leskov, a Russian author. Do you support Russia today?
No, we do not support the foreign policy of the Russian Federation.
Nikolay Leskov worked in Kyiv, studied Ukrainian, and travelled widely around Europe - even translating the works of Czech authors Martin Brodsky and Bozena Nemcova.
This is one reason why we are dedicating the book to the memory of the inhabitants of Bucha, Ukraine.
The foreign policy of the Russian Federation in c.21st does not dictate our publishing choices.
