How Did It Start?

This production has quite a personal value for me because I lived through very similar conditions described in the play as  a child. At the same time I was always fascinated by how I can express my identity and that of my people and to communicate it to everybody in the Czech Republic. And the play by Mohammad Yaghoubi provided me with the right theme. 
What is our Goal?

Details

The unexpected take on a story, both funny and dramatic, about what had happened to Iranian nation following the Islamic Revolution in 1979, as seen through the eyes of a peculiar family. 
A writer tries to make sense of the circumstances after the revolution all under a threat to his personal life by some anonymous individuals and communities. The play unveils a reality of some condition people went through in their lives. Conditions that you might never had the chance to hear of through the window of TV news or political statements.
By supporting the production team and actors of "A Moment of Silence" we can get the chance to be one of the main side events of the 5th edition of the Festival of Iranian Films, which is a great opportunity for the Czech and international audience  to get to know more about the reality of Iran and its culture. This uniques production will be performed with English speaking actors with Czech surtitles in Prague on Friday Jan 15th, 2016. 

What should your fans call you? 

As a theatre director student at Drama Faculty in Prague, DAMU,  I had  the opportunities of taking two of  my production, "Someone who'll watch over me" and "A Moment of Silence" to festival of " Nad Prahu pulmesic" in Prague in 2014 and 2015. 
I chose the play "A Moment of Silence" by Mohammad Yaghoubi as my graduation production. From the first night of the show some of the audience told me that it's rare to see theatre productions which communicated with them so deeply. 
I'm so glad I could reach people, and touch their thoughts and emotions, deep inside. I assume I could make the audience to take some moments after the show to think what I wanted to share with  them. I do hope by getting the financial support from good people who know about this production or heard about it, our team can continue developing this beautiful communication. 

Why are you doing this? 

The unique production of "A Moment of Silence" at the Festival of Iranian Films has the chance of opening a dialogue between different cultures in this troubled times of misunderstandings . We hope through HITHIT website people who are interested in this production will give us their support.
