All or nothing. Project finished on Dec 4, 2015 at 09:53.
The band is our family and part of our lives. We want to take a trip to California, the former home of our singer Mike, get a feel for his roots and mix them together with our European melodic and drive. Then we are planning to project all this into an album which will musically move us forward. Because, when it comes to this endeavour, we don’t want to leave anything to chance, we have approached the renowned producer Ronnie King whose records we all grew up with and asked him to produce our new album. Ronnie has expressed an interest in this project and he likes our music. So here we are, trying to finance this trip, a good quality studio time and the producer’s fee. And this is where we need your help. We cannot do this alone...
Pipes and Pints was found in 2006 by Vojta Kalina (Scottish bagpipes, vocals) and Tomáš Novotný, who shared a dream about a band which would combine punk rock, dirty folk and country with a passion for rock’n’roll. The hard core of the band has emerged with the arrival of Lukáš Vincour, Ondra Balvín and an American, Syco Mike, who has abandoned his plans for a return from Austria to California and has moved to Prague instead. Their unquenchable thirst for performing at concerts has convinced everybody that Pipes and Pints meant business. The next proof was their EP recorded in December 2008, which met with great success and so the band decided to make their introduction to the world. During their first few tours Pipes and Pints played tens of concerts and supported bands such as Social Distortion, Deadline, The Old Firm Casuals or Mad Sin.
We have experience of recording an album with a foreign producer from our second and currently last album. The new Found and Lost has generated an endless number of articles and reviews in both Czech and international publications but above all it earned us the support of our fans and sold out venues all around the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Austria, Poland, France, Spain and Russia. And that’s not all as our album has received one of the annual awards of the music award academy, Anděl, recognising Found and Lost to be the best album of 2012 in the punk/hardcore category. Our concert schedule continues to be hectic again this year. Upon our return from a successful tour of Europe at the beginning of the summer there was no need to unpack as we headed straight into a busy summer festival season, abroad as well as at home. We have also lined up a two months tour of Europe scheduled to take place before our departure for California, during which we will test drive our new material.
For those fans who will offer their financial support we have a prepared a number of rewards, including a tatoo executed by all band members, some personal items belonging to the musicians, an attendance at your garden party or the opportunity to sing with the band at a major festival. For those really adventures at heart we have the opportunity to accompany the band on their trip to California or to spend a concert weekend with them.
