All or nothing. Project finished on Oct 22, 2015 at 19:48.
We are a group of medical students and nurses, we want to go on tour around the whole Czech Republic to teach people on educational workshops, how to reveal the breast cancer, testicular cancer and other types of cancer IN TIME. We train on special silicone models of breasts and testicles, where some lumps are hidden. So everyone can try to feel the cancer first-hand.
We have trained 2 500 people in the field of cancer prevention so far, 14 of them have revealed the cancer in time. But it is still not enough. We want more those who found it out in time.
However, the training models are too expensive – boobs cost around 30 000 CZK, balls 10 000 CZK. We have currently only one pair.
We need YOUR help in order to train more than 7 000 people a year.
We are collecting 157 500 CZK to buy 3 more pairs of self-examination models and other training aids. What is more, if we make it, the Vodafone Foundation will double the sum.
Our new campaign Sahám si na ně každý den (I touch them every month) spreads awareness of importance of self-examinations in prevention of breast cancer and testicular cancer. Its aim is to teach young people how to examine #prsakoule (boobs and balls) correctly and regularly and to reveal the cancer in time.
Breasts and testicles are one of the most frequently touched organs. We touch boobs - our own or our partner´s – 167 × a month and balls even 369 ×. However, not so many people know that we all should touch them in the right way at least once a month and do a so called self-examination.
Join the the campaign on prsakoule.cz
The official hashtag of the campaign is #prsakoule
The official #prsakoule party will take place on 15th October 2015 in Radlická – kulturní sportovna. Come over, boobs and balls will be there too!
