You can find an overview of extraordinary events taking place in Prague at www.prague-up.com. But what makes it unique? The entire concept is built on original author photographs taken exclusively for Prague-Up. To promote the top quality only, I personally pick the right events and places. I prefer to show things that are able both to enrich the city as well as to offer a unique experience. Keeping things close is key. As a photographer I often scout the city and stay in touch with those who I promote. You will find a variety of different events at the Prague-Up event calendar – everything from typical cultural events all the way to communal markets, workshops, lectures and such. I keep things brief, well arranged and I pick the best quality above all. And as everything is available in English as well, Prague-Up is also available to those foreign visitors, who like to really feel the city spirit and spend time the same way the locals do.
I am a freelance photographer a bit crazy one, probably :) I have studied tourism and eventually I completely fell in love with Prague. With Prague-Up I am able to put everything I have learned and experienced to a good use and to share it with others. Prague-Up is my greatest passion and love.
One day I have realized how everything around me started to wake up all of the sudden. Something new and exciting was in the air. Unusual projects and unique places were opening up to enrich the city and its atmosphere, interest in public space, one’s neighbourhood, crafts, nature and traditional values started to increase. Quality started to be more important than quantity. Prague-Up salutes those who try to make Prague a better city for life and to inspire others.
Don’t you also hate all the commercials surrounding us? I know for sure I do. And even though I have had several offers I decided to stay loyal to a pure minimalist design. I want to stay subjectively objective and to support all the people who do whatever they do with passion. Do you agree? Would you support it? Thank you for feeling the same.
I am really glad that Prague-Up became your favourite companion, that you were able to explore interesting places, meet new people or that it simply helped you find an answer for what to do in the evening. I am also very happy that it helps your foreign visitors who are truly excited about it. You are motivating me and you are the reason I keep doing this. New ideas are popping up in my mind and new opportunities lay ahead. It’s beautiful to see the Prague-Up community grow. Join us and pick a reward. I believe you will enjoy them :)
Prague-Up, that’s website, Facebook and Instagram.
The website itself will guide you to a variety of sections with its own galleries, contact information, event lists and interviews with people who are not afraid to do things their own way, who have a strong influence on the Prague’s cultural scene and even though are not talked about too often.
I took all the ideas you have given me in the past year, talked to few enthusiasts and now we have new and better concept of Prague-Up. Because of your support we are now able to launch a brand new website that would give you a much better idea of what’s up in Prague.
Let’s together make sure that Prague will be able to shine this fall and that we all will be able to enjoy it!
So many things are crossing my mind. My dream is to publish a guide to “new” Prague and I believe that other Czech cities are undergoing transformation that should be noted. So if there is other enthusiast among you I would love to meet and maybe we come up with something :)
