How it all began

I was a classic TV-sportsman. With almost 100 kg of weight, I started sports. After five years of hard training, I am a finisher of the Norseman Xtreme Triathlon, a holder of the Czech record in 24hour treadmill run, and a two-time participant in 240km Spartathlon ultramarathon.

What is my goal?

Everybody has a dream. My sports dream is to take part in the 100km ice ultramarathon on Union Glacier in Antarctica.

Details

There is an Ice Marathon organized in Antarctiva every year as well as 100km ultramarathon. At the present time, these are two separate races. As a finisher of the world's hardest ironman triathlon, the Norseman Xtreme Triathlon in Norway, finisher of multiple ironman triathlons, a two-time participant in Spartahlon, the most difficult ultramarathon in Europe (240km nonstop from Athens to Sparta), and a holder of the Czech record in 24hour treadmill run, it is my dream to take part in this 100km polar challenge. As this is financially very demanding event that I am not able to cover myself and using support of my sponsors, I am looking for a financial support for this project.

Who I am?

Michal Cinciala, born in 1973, is a freelance translator focusing on highly specialized medical and technical texts.

He has been engaged in triathlon since 2009. From 2012, he is also a ultrarunner. In his sport efforts, he is supported by his wife Kyoko and son Patrik. Besides finishing the Norseman Xtreme Triathlon, his most valuable result is becoming a Czech record holder in 24hour treadmill run.

Why am I doing this?

This is financially very demanding event that I am not able to cover fully myself and using support of my sponsors , I am looking for a financial support for this project.

There is not so much to bring back from Antarctica - this is a land of ice. There is no post office there to send a postcard, in fact, there is nothing over there with the exception of snow and ice. Thus, I am offering set of photos taken on location to all supporters and a piece of stone picked up in Antarctica with personal dedication and thanks. Post card from Chile.
