FBQ releases a second album!

FBQ is starting a campaign to support the release of our second album Parvo! The money will be used to cover the expenses of recording, mixing, mastering, album cover art and the making of physical CDs.

We are releasing a new album called Parvo! The eight tracks (+ two bonus tracks which you can get with the physical CD) were recorded in the Golden Hive studio based in Prague in the spring of 2021. You can look forward to brand new arrangements of old folk tunes originating among others from Armenia, Greece, Bulgaria or Romania, and to fresh original compositions that respect the balkan musical tradition, but are crafted into a modern jazz influenced form. Besides the usual line-up:

Kieren Alexander - accordion

Tomáš Mika - guitra banjo

Milan K. Jakeš - violin

Ondřej Komárek - bass

Jaroslav Čermín Noga - drums

...we invited the wonderful Žofka Kašparová on flute and bass clarinet to lend us a hand on a couple of tunes!

The album cover will be designed and made by the outstanding artist Anastasia Vrublevská.

We hope wholeheartedly that we'll begin meeting at concerts and events during the summer! We have many juicy and exclusive rewards prepared for you, and we'll be deeply grateful for any contributions you decide to bestow upon us. You will be helping us not only to raise funds for the CD, but also to raise our morale (which suffered a considerable blow during last year), because in case the campaign is a success, we will inevitably think that our musical endeavours are meaningful and worth pursuing.
