AN UNCOMMON DOCUMENT ABOUT UNCOMMON PEOPLE AND AN UNCOMMON SPORT
Author: Adam Peschel
All or nothing. Project finished on Jul 30, 2017 at 13:35.
How did it start?
It’s like when you wake up in the morning and you’ve got this dream in your head from that night. Then your friend calls you knowing that you are going to compete in the United Emirates and that he would go with you and shoot some footage. Emerging in a few days out of such lunacy is the absolute craziest idea - to shoot a realistic portrayal of a sport that you love and devote your whole life to!
What is our goal?
Lots of interesting people from around the world are involved in stunt riding and each place is specific. We want to show you the diversity of stunt riding some riders consider stunt a sport, others a life style. But they all have one thing in common, - they all love it! We are planning to film in various corners of the globe, the homes of those who give up all their time to this sport. There exist riding groups or on the contrary, young boys enchanted by this crazy sport. In each state, in every country, there is somebody who is exceptional and crazy, and we want to film the most interesting ones!
Details
Stunt riding is known as an exhibition sport, a supporting program, an adrenaline-packed competitive environment... But who knows what it’s really like behind the scenes? Who knows how much time each daredevil spends practicing or maintaining his motorcycle? Help us show the world what lies behind stunt riding, its beauty but also its predicament. A lot of people think that stunt riders are hooligans, fools, fakes. Riders have to train hard to demonstrate their hard-earned trick. Stunt riding is a world-wide phenomenon lacking sufficient support, and we want to change that! The superficial concept of commercial events, big shows and “talking points” are behind us. We will show you the reality, sometimes beautiful and sometimes rough, sometimes painful yet sometimes emotional with a fantastic finish...we will show you how everything runs.
What is this stunt riding actually?
In simple terms – riding acrobatics on a motorcycle requiring outstanding balance and perfect knowledge of the limits of the given motorcycle.
It involves either a fast or slow ride on the back wheel (wheelie) or the front wheel (stoppie), or a combination of difficulty of these elements
Laps in various combination and variations
Extremely difficult and dynamic acrobatic elements
Burnout and drifting, which are very attractive to onlookers
Riding with two or more people on a single motorcycle
A combination of a fast ride with technically difficult tricks
For interest
Competitive evaluation
This if focused on the basic elements such as riding on the front and back wheel, burnout, drifting but also on the overall artistic performance of the rider. Fluidity and difficulty in performing individual elements, “flow”, which is how one trick links to the next, incorporated acrobatics, but also speed, ferocity and dynamics, all forming integral parts of this sport.
Why do we want to go out in the world and film?
Reasons, differences here and elsewhere, comparison, culture, methods, ideas, access, mentality
Since I began traveling, I have discovered just how big the world is, what opportunities it offers, but mainly I find how different things are in each country on each continent. My dream is to showcase the life of stunt riders the world over.
This is my motivation!
Why contribute?
How do we use the money?
Who are we?
Adam Peschel
My name is Adam and I simply decided to live the SPECIAL life of a motorcycle daredevil. So I’m pleased to meet you :-)
Nobody is really that interested in what age precisely you started riding, on what bike or what constantly pulls you onward. What is interesting is why you just keep at it. Why can you take that hard fall, get up and continue on? Where does all this energy, motivation and strength come from to never give up?
Ivo Martiník
Founder of the studio Soundpoint, started working with his ears but now with his eyes too :-). Along with other members of the crew, he shoots corporate films, advertisements and TV programs. He got involved with motorcycles as a teenager, where along with the JoeBarTeam, he organized biker rallies. He has shot video for Brno’s IV Racing and produced the television program MOTOCAMS featuring motor sports in the Czech Republic.
Why do we do it?
Because it started becoming great fun for us. When you listen to the stories of riders of what they've gone through, how they train, you sit there with your mouth agape and cannot stop wondering, and you want to share their tales with others.
We started financing production and filming ourselves. Since our careers involve audio-video creation, it comes easier to us. We have available recording technology, we have our own studio and cutting rooms, but our greatest cost lies in logistics. That means tickets for planes, trains and buses, lodging expenses, etc. We therefore have decided to try collecting money by means of crowd funding.
HitHit seems to us a decent, honest service. We know that the Czech Republic has plenty of fans of these projects, so we chose to go with HitHit.
