We Sing Tibetan

We would like to contribute to Václav Havel and 14. Dalai lama friendship legacy and have good relation between Czech and Tibetans. So we would like to make 7 mutual concerts Tibetan singer Loten Namling and Czech band Zrní.

About project

Czech and Tiben relation started in the moment of Iron curtain termination. One of the first act of then president Václav Havel was, that he invited His Holiness 14. Dalai lama for visit of The Czech Republic. Havel we first statesman in the world who invited and met Dalai lama. This act was strong message for the rest of the world about human rights which Czech stand by. This inspirited others statesman in the rest of the world which started inviting and meeting Dalai lama. We would like to contribute to legacy of Havel and Dalai lama friendship by our now days actions and we would like to have occasions for mutual Czech-Tibetans meetings.

We Sing Tibetan is the project through which we would like to annually invite Tibetan musicians which will conduct concerts together with Czech music band Zrní.

This year we would like to do

We would like to invite Loten Namling and his band Porok Karpo to conduct 7 concerts with Zrní band.

  • 06.12. – Olomouc (5th biggest town) – attendance CA 300 visitors
  • 07.12. – Brno (2th biggest town) - Fléda Club, attendance 600 visitors
  • 08.12. – Ostrava (3th biggest town) - Kulturní dům, attendance 450 visitors
  • 09.12. – Uherské Hradiště (small town at Moravia - 25 thousand inhabitants) - attendance CA 200 visitors
  • 10.12. – Vsetín - (small town at Moravia - 26 thousand inhabitants) - attendance CA 200 visitors
  • 12.12. – Prague (Czech capital) - Akropole, attendance 850 visitors
  • 13.12. – Prague (Czech capital) - Akropole, attendance 850 visitors

Loten Namling will be playing alone with Zrní Band concerts. For Last concert in Prague other four members of Porok Karpo band will join Loten Namling and full Porok Karpo and Zrní will conduct last concert.

Who is organizing parties

Loten Namling s a noted Indian-born singer, musician artist, entertainer and cartoonist currently living in Switzerland.[1] He is working on his project, "Blues", in which he explores paths linking the songs to culture. His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama once called Loten "a singer with a voice." Based in Switzerland, the artist has travelled worldwide with his lute, singing the songs of the 2nd Dalai Lama, as well as other traditional songs, and his own songs. From Kalmykia to Korea to Wales, Namling has performed worldwide, telling stories about his life, connecting songs of the past to the reality of the present, and inviting his audience on a journey through the landscape of spirituality.

Loten Namling perform as solo artists or together with band Porok Karpo composed with former Switzerland artists.

Czech music band Zrní is the most popular band of Czech alternative music scene, winner of the most prestigious Czech music award “Czech Angel”, whose concerts in the Czech musical clubs used to be a sold out.  The biggest audience amounting 30 000 peoples band has in concert on July 2015 within the most prestigious Czech musical festival Colours of Ostrava. Zrní band has the best audience, ammoung other Czech musicians, in sense of amount and composition for acceptance of Tibetan musicians.  Zrní band regularly perform on the event for support of Tibetans – for example annual protests in front of China Embassy in Prague. The band has 5 members and you can find samples of their music under the following link: 

Zrní band provide for We Sing Tibetan project their fans for Tibetan singer, premises and musical technique, transportation and accommodation for Tibetan singer.

Brontosaurus in Himalayas is the Czech NGO which support education, ecology a trational values preservation in Little Tibet. We support development plan of Spring Dales Public School in Mulbekh village which woud like to increase capacity of school campus to 350 children and increase quality of education. To finish this plan, we are seeking 500 Himalayan patrons from the Czech republic which will ensure better education for 3500 peoples from Mulbehk village. Brontosaurus in Himalaya convinced also HH Dalai lama to co-finance development of of Spring Dales Public School. During audience in July 2012 His Holiness 14. Dalai lama imparted to representatives of Brontosaurs in Himalayas “I had really good relation with Czech ex-president Václav Havel. After his decease I consider as my duty strive for survival of his spirit. I appreciate that you helps me by supporting good education for children from remote village Mulbekh”.

Brontosaurus in Himalayas organize project for We Sing Tibetan – we are seeking Tibetan singer, mediate communication between Zrní and Tibetan singer, and organize crowdfunding collection.
