All or nothing. Project finished on May 3, 2023 at 11:16.
I'm a nerd and I research everything fastidiously. I remember once trying to have my piano tuned to a magical chakra key I read about that was supposed to cure absolutely everything from high blood pressure to a cracked toenail. I dictated the frequencies of some keys to my piano tuner and expected it to naturally work with the other frequencies; of course!, he would be able to easily tune the instrument and I would have a magical healing piano. In the end, I had to treat Mr. Tuner to a well-chilled compensatory beer after I presented him with this request. (Anyone who has ever tuned something would surely sympathise with the gentleman's less than enthusiastic response to my request).
And so it began. I definitely didn't give up, and even though I didn't fully understand his explanation that it 'doesn't quite work like that', I endeavored to find out why this was the case, and thus started researching the mathematical relationships between the frequencies of the individual keys so that I could "calculate" the entire scale and invite Mr. Tuner back again with a ready list of frequencies. On my research journey, I learned about different tuning systems and studied the various people who understand these systems, but in the end, the best discovery awaited me in the form of holistic music therapy, which uses so-called 'natural tuning' as one of the possible procedures for therapeutic effects on people with various forms of disability. So I finally had my magic scale!
My obsession with tuning systems finally found it's culmination in a course at Olomouc University, where I studied in the field of holistic music therapy with like minded individuals. During the course of our studies, we became a great group of people who want to introduce this somewhat esoteric field to the public; because if it helps people with disabilities, surely it could help healthy people as well. To this end, our blog is slowly adding articles that show the results of research on the topic of music therapy and the prevention of the 'diseases of civilization', which have been carried out by various scientific research centers around the world. Are these methods effective? Well, I have to say in my own case that during my last visit to my doctor, who was looking at the results of my blood tests, I heard him utter the classic phrase: "I don't know what you're doing, but keep doing it".
And in addition to the blog, we also want to present music therapy in a live performance to everyone who is interested and wants to try it.
We organize music festivals where the audience has the opportunity to participate in and sample: relaxation, drumming circles, music therapy legends or voice workshops, live performances and more. Both active and passive music therapy techniques will be presented at the festival. Spectators will also have the opportunity to listen to music that is connected to the concept of holistic music therapy through the use of special instruments, tunings or other components.
As part of the project, we are establishing a mobile music therapy laboratory, which should enable the organization of music therapy relaxation events and meetings in various locations. It is an equipped RV that will be able to provide services in locations that are further from cities and difficult to reach for similar services.

Music therapy is usually employed to provide help to disabled people, but we know that music therapy (especially in its holistic form) hides a great potential that could equally serve non-disabled people as an alleviation of existing health problems, or possibly help with undiagnosed problems, or even with the standard 'diseases of civilization' that have become so prevalent in modern times (high blood pressure, cholesterol, tinnitus, etc.) A large part of the population suffers from these ailments and these techniques have the potential to relieve or mitigate such maladies. The festival is not our only activity. We also gradually review the existing conducted scientific research and summarize and publish the results on our website www.healingsounds.art and on the blog
I YouTube channel @lecivezvuky , where we gradually publish videos from last year's festival event.
If you want to watch videos from the last festival, take a look at our our youtube channel @lecivezvuky, where we gradually publish videos from last year's festival event.
We are a non-profit organization called Saturnin, and we deal with applied social-scientific research, and organize musical and cultural events. During the years 2014-2019, we operated our own cultural cafe (gallery, music and film club), where we organized concerts, exhibitions and public screenings.
We also participate in research activities related to the topic of happiness, well being and quality of life. All through the pandemic, we took part in the international research on mental health during the pandemic, which monitored the situation in 7 European countries. The research results are freely available here covid19.saturnin.info.
We are currently working on the Realm of Healing Sounds project, which is supported by Norwegian funds and, in addition to the festival, also includes the creation of an information base on holistic music therapy for the public
If you are interested in what last year's festival looked like, take a look at its website at its website.
After our own experiences with the effect of holistic music therapy, we want to spread awareness about this non-invasive possibility of solving some 'diseases of civilization' or chronic health problems. In addition to possible health or preventive effects, we also want to present a pleasant possibility to get closer to other people in a jointly playful and creative activity that supports the cooperative setting of society. Competitive activities are the majority in our society, so we want to contribute to the balance of these two opposites in the social context.
In our opinion, crowdfunding is an ideal way to communicate with the audience, who can give feedback with their contributions, which is interesting precisely because of the option to choose different rewards. We plan to use the collected money to pay performers, sound engineers, purchase video and audio materials and their processing.
We are expecting a two-day festival in Prague on the weekend of June 16-17. in this beautiful place
a short distance from the center of Prague and at the same time in the middle of greenery. We can look forward to the Yellow Sisters, music therapy rock with Norwegian Wood, music therapy relaxation with Veronika, voice workshops with Toni, improvisation on a theme from the audience with Maarten. Maybe Mr. Stranger and perhaps other creators and performers.
However, they won't come without you. They don't want to play for themselves, they want to play for people! People like you. By choosing your reward in the form of a ticket to the festival, you let us know that we will not be there alone, but instead will be participating in the joy of music with like-minded folk - once again, people just like you.
