How It All Started
We have been through 10 success editions, thousands of artists, hundreds of thousands of visitors, and we keep going forward. We have decided to take a leap of faith: we believe in our fans . We are aiming at giving United Islands a new impulse that offers the festival an opportunity to develop in the future. We believe that you, visitors of the event, will help as well. In order to realize this year’s edition in the new, more attractive form, we have established a fundraiser with a goal of CZK 1.6 million. That is the highest target crowdfunding amount in Czech Republic ever.
Our Goal
We want to keep bringing new, interesting names from all over the world to Czech Republic’s biggest music festival. We discover new names in the Czech and Slovak scenes and we bring them an opportunity to address large audiences in very attractive environment on the banks of the Vltava. We enjoy people enjoying music on islands of greenery in the historic downtown.
We want to move the main stage from Střelecký Island to Kinský Garden , which we consider to be a great area that befits the purpose. We believe that you, visitors of the event, will help as well. The achievement of the target amount of support will help the festival take a giant leap in its history.
Details
Your support will offer the realization of a two-day program in a new, attractive location of Kinský Garden in Smíchov, with the performances of the festival headliners, Ella Eyre (UK) and Bajofondo (ARG). Apart from the above 20 and 21 June will be offering concerts of these artists: Childhood (UK), Heymoonshaker (UK), Ritchie Ruftone (UK), Hugo Kant (F), Ohm Square, Sklenik, ILLE, Adrian T. Bell, Dena (Bul), Voila!, When We Are Wild (NL), The Dumplings (PL), Manon Meurt, Never Sol, Astrid North (DE).
Now Something Special
We are coming back to the river after last year’s exile at Ladronka. We want to bring live concerts to islands of greenery in the downtown. We believe that fans of the Islands will become Islanders through and through, that they will appreciate our efforts to liven up the city core and bring a symbolic contribution to support our work.
Who We Are
We are the organizers of the country’s biggest music festival that looks into new and interesting names in music, supports talented artists and brings life to the public area in the attractive locations of Prague’s historic downtown. We have delivered 10 successful editions of the event, with thousands of performers and hundreds of thousands of visitors.
Why We Do This
We love bringing life to public places. We like good music. We enjoy the dedication of musicians standing outside the mainstream. We like Prague live. We are aiming at giving United Islands a new impulse that offers the festival an opportunity to develop in the future. We believe it when people say they want an open-air music festival in Prague’s historic downtown that will discover new names in music as well as trends from all over the world.
