Introduction of the project:
Let me introduce you to an extraordinary book project. The book EUROPEAN BOLETES, which will be published in two volumes, will be the most comprehensive book on this group of fungi in the English language. I have been preparing the book for a long time and have already published a similar monograph in the Czech Republic:
In the first part about 80 species, forms and varieties of these genera will be described and illustrated in detail: Baorangia ● Boletus ● Butyriboletus Caloboletus ● Cupreoboletus ● Cyanoboletus ● Exsudoporus Hemileccinum ● Imperator ● Lanmaoa ●Leccinellum ● Leccinum ● Neoboletus Rubroboletus ● Suillellus ● Tylopilus.

- Large A4 format
- 500 colour pages
- 80 taxa (including forms and varieties)
- More than 1000 excellent photographs
- A key to all species
- More than 1000 bibliographical references.

What the funds will be used for:
Since I will be printing the book myself, I need to raise funds for the graphic design and printing of the book. The total cost will be about 300,000 and I only have a third of my own funds available.
Whoever contributes 95 EUR or more will receive, in addition to the book itself, a second smaller book with beautiful drawings (same format, perfect binding) by one of the best mushroom illustrators Jiri Polcak. Price includes postage. You can also take the opportunity to buy a larger quantity of books at a better price include postal fees.
Who am I ?
My name is Michal Mikšík, I live in the Czech Republic and I am an amateur mycologist and mushroom photographer. I have already published 6 books about mushrooms in our country and this will be my first foreign language book.
