How it all began?

 At the very beginning, there was Harlequin, a project for a clarinet solo combining musical performance and acting. With Harlequin, Karel travelled around the world. We thought that no bigger challenge could come but it did: " The Peacock Tales" by Anders Hillborg.  One word led to another and an absolutely marvellous project was born: a documentary film directed by Tadeáš which features Karel´s hard work, wonderful Roman´s choreography, a costume by screenwriter Jitka and everything else that comes around with every great thing.

What we would like?

Our goal is to make a great documentary on the environment of classical music, that is not very familiar to everybody.

Your contributions will be used to pay project costs, including renting of the equipment, costume preparation, authorisation fees, travelling and other expenses.

Details about our project

Documentary film Hillborg & Dohnal: "Music in motion" captures the preparation and realisation of the Czech premier of the Concerto for Clarinet and Orchestra by Anders Hillborg called  "Peacock Tales" at the Music forum festival 2015 in Hradec Králové.

Who we are?

This project became possible due to a joint effort of distinguished artists of the Czech art scene, such as:

- a laureate of many international competitions, soloist, chamber player, member of the State Opera Theater, lector and above all an excellent clarinetist - Karel Dohnal.

- a choreographer, clown, mime, actor (Frama in a cave), medical clown, lector at the Music and Dance Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (HAMU) and  a graduate of the HAMU Nonverbal and Comedy Faculty - Roman Horák

- a graduate of the Film School in Písek (FAMO), director and the author of the renown music documentary "Jiří Smrž: Against the current", and the director of this documentary - Tadeáš Bognár
