All or nothing. Project finished on Dec 25, 2015 at 12:41.
How it all began....
There used to be two small music festivals in Kolín (CZ). One was Southern rock, otherwise known as “ Kolin's southern night” organized by Dalibor Mierva (Dalis); and the other one “Fest Blues” managed by Vojtech Kloucek (Vojta) and his colleague Ales. After four years of organizing the “Fest Blues” festival, Ales left and Vojta was alone in his dream of continuing the blues festival in Kolín. It was then when he met Dalis (the big southern rock fan) and mutual cooperation started. They named their project “Southern Rock & Blues Kolin“. It underwent its first major crisis when a press review called it a 'marriage for convenience', after a successful show in 2012. But to celebrate its fifth year of cooperation, the group is planning a big festival in 2016.
What is our goal?
We would like to prepare a gift for our audience/visitors/fans, in the form of adding one additional evening of musical performances. If we gather enough funds, the festival will run for two days, which in turn will bring more music to our country.
Details
Provided that we gather enough funds, the first day (13 May 2016) will showcase the performances of 4 amateur bands who will perform at the Municipal Cultural House. The classic festival will take place on Saturday 14th May 2016. The goal of the second day is to raise funds. It will start at 12:00pm on the street. Entrance is free and people can just stop, sit down, drink a beer and listen to the music. Four music groups will perform on an open air stage. Passersby will hear non-commercial music, and if it captivates them, they can choose to join the evening show in the town hall premises. Although the evening program is already charged, it is still affordable enough for the general public. The quality of the evening music group is significantly higher. These choices of blues and southern rock groups will bring to Kolin a few stars. Visitors can spend the breaks between perfomances in a bar and listen to music performed in the vestibul. This part will provide smaller groups a chance to take center stage. This festival already has its own fans who regurlary follow the program and come to Kolín every year.

Additional information
This festival is supported by many small sponsors and also by the town of Kolin. The town mayor has visited the festival and even joined the launching of a new CD 'Whiskey and the Last Rebel' focused on southern rock music.
Who we are
We, Vojta and Dalis are both employed and have our own income. This festival is not a business, it is our hobby. All the money we collect from sponsors will be used just for the festival. Each of us has our own way of life and are specializing in different areas. But due to our love for music, together we create a good team.
Why we are doing this
We have a lot of offers from various groups and musicians who are interested in participating in our festival. But despite the fact that most musicians are willing to perform for a low talent fee, we still need additional resources to ensure the quality of the performances and the services we provide. We pay for the travel expenses of our musicians from abroad. To cover this cost, we have decided to turn to all our fans via Crowdfunding.
