Resurrect the Egyptian Book of the Dead - Art Music Film

The music group NEMUER, in collaboration with Egyptologists and artist Klara Sedlo, is working on an Ancient Egyptian album and film. Become a part of this unique project and help us bring the Book of the Dead back to life!

What is the film about?

The film will be a visual extension of the music album. The emphasis will be primarily on the mysterious atmosphere, and the entire content will be based on the Egyptian Book of the Dead.

The film will combine animated visuals by Klára Sedlo with live-action scenes, introducing viewers, among other things, to the authentic musical instruments we used to record the album.

Subtitles will be included in the film to make it possible to understand the Ancient Egyptian language.

What makes the project so unique?

Until now, the sound of the Ancient Egyptian language, specifically its vowels, was unknown. In collaboration with Egyptologist Dr. de Vartavan, who specializes in historical reconstruction of Ancient Egyptian, we have been able to revive and use a part of this language for the first time in history, both in the music album and the film.

The entire album and film are the result of a deep dive into mythological themes. Many of the musical instruments used are authentic, such as the Ney flute, African harp, and sistrum.

The album even includes a pharaonic tune, which we learned about through the Copts, the direct descendants of the Ancient Egyptians.

How is shipping handled for your rewards?
